What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is often referred to as the “Immortal Health Elixir”, the “Elixir of Life”, or even the “Tea of Immortality”. In simple terms, it is tea fermented with bacteria and yeast. It is often transparent and may be lightly effervescent in nature.

What are the benefits of drinking kombucha?

There are several benefits to drinking kombucha. Here are just a few:

  • They are a natural source of probiotics.
  • They are a natural source of antioxidants.
  • It has strong antibacterial properties.
  • It may reduce heart disease risk.
  • It may rebalance homeostasis in the body.

How Is Kombucha Healthy for the Body?

We have a symbiotic relationship with microbes. We provide food for the microbes in our gut and they work for us by extracting energy from food and acting as soldiers for our immune system. It is often stated that our gut is our first brain, as the Vagus nerve is a direct connection from the gut to the brain.
